Thank you for visiting our website. My wife Jan and I have decided to share our carnival glass collection with you after 35 years of pure joy in putting it together. This great hobby has taken us around the world and afforded us wonderful friendships with people we never would have met in any other way. The joy at being able to see this beautiful glass on an everyday basis is only surpassed by the warm memories of these friendships and of ‘the hunt.’

But the time has come for us to release our treasures to our collecting friends and refocus our time on our grandkids and other ‘senior endeavors.’ This was no small decision. The hobby has been a major part of me for over half my lifetime and the pleasure of being able to share the collection with you, while very tough to do, is the only way that Jan and I feel can compensate for the future lack of color on our walls. I plan to remain active in the hobby as long as I am able, writing articles, speaking and attending conventions.

As many of you know, I have endeavored to collect only the finest specimens of carnival glass I could afford, (and sometimes when I couldn’t!) and always with special attention to quality of iridescence. We’d like to think you will agree when you see the pictures we are posting on this website and hopefully, at the auction.

We are very proud to have been selected to have our collection featured at the 100th Anniversary of Carnival Glass celebration at the Heart of America Carnival Glass Association’s (HOACGA) annual convention to be held in Kansas City April 25 - 28, 2007. We have selected the Wroda Auction Service to handle the auction and are confident you will have loads of fun at the auction and enjoy Jim, Laurie and Mike’s fine services.

The main purpose of this website is to share with you pictures of the glass, as well as some anecdotes about how it came to our home here on the north coast of Oregon. Where possible, I plan to also share what I know about the scarcity of the pieces. I will be writing monthly ‘articles’ for the HOACGA newsletter and other carnival glass club newsletters and publications, each covering a different element of our collection. They will all be posted here on this website. Be sure to check back here every month, Nov. through April. We hope you enjoy them.

We sincerely hope you enjoy the articles and hope to see you at the landmark 100th Anniversary celebration in Kansas City in April!
